I have closed my professional career in April 2006 as an Associate Professor in Ship and Offshore Hydromechanics
at the Maritime Technology Department of the Delft University of Technology.
Reaching the retiring age of 65 years, I had worked already for almost 48 years,
of which 43 years at the university.
After an unforgettable farewell of my colleagues at the towing tank, time had come to do other interesting things.
